I have an SE Plus

Featured Replies

I have a 1.4TSi SE Plus in Brilliant Silver.

Couple of points-

  • The rear picnic tables are really cool
  • The interior is much nicer than I thought it was going to be
  • The CD Changer is mounted nicely in the boot on the nearside

Really brilliant value for money given the spec.

A picture of the interior would be nice. B)

James, do you think the picnic tables might be a 'retro-fit' possibility (As you're probably the first person to get one?)

Some pic's would be nice James.

Is that the Kristal cloth? Pics please.

I don't understand the issue of the CD changer. I have an SE and that has a 6 CD jobbie built in behind the main screen. Having a CD changer in the boot seems a backward step as the boot is small enough as it is.

I have to agree with that. But then I don't use CDs anymore...

A USB port would have been far more useful.

I shall get some photos!

The SE Plus doesn't come with the Bolero headunit it has the Amundsen satnav unit so it does away with the 6CD in dash function although it does retain the single cd and SD card, but the SE Plus has the CD changer in the boot.

I write MP3 CDs to use in my Octavia - it puts perhaps a dozen music CDs onto a single MP3 CD, and protects the original CDs. (My radio hasn't a USB port either.)

Presumably the problem is that the Amendson satnav can't hold 6 CDs so the old solution of an external CD player has been used. I had one in my Golf IV and found that if I turned the ignition off while it was playing, it went on running resulting in a flat battery! (And yes it was installed by a dealer!)

Some photos albeit rubbish quality ones, but enough to give a good impression of the interior.

Looks nice, the CD player is much better located than I thought it would be.

Picnic tables:  Nice and adds even more functionality to the car.

Seat Material:  Personally I think the seat 'pattern' is awful. I much prefer the standard SE trim which

is clean and simple and works for me.

For some reason I had visions of it being fitted somewhere obscure, like under the passenger seat or taking up half of the glovebox. But it is fitted very nicely and doesn't reduce boot size or anything.

Looks good, my son would love the picnic table, is this something that is going to be added to Elegance spec cars?

Thanks for the explanation on the CD player, I forgot it was a different unit. Yes they have put it in a place which causes no issues at all, well done the designers.

I think the Kristal cloth is truly hideous, very Korean from the the 90's.

Is the centre button on the Amundsen for scrolling around different options or is it touchscreen as per the Bolero.

Thanks for the pictures.

I don't think the little tables in the back are retro fittable, they seem to be mounted into the seat somehow, I suspect the seat internals are different.

Honestly the interior looks better in the flesh.

It could be worse....

What wheels come as standard please

What do you think?

HORRID cloth!!!!!!!!!! Yikes! Looks like the base spec cloth from a Proton or something. Really hideous! Hopefully one can spec leather.

So the passenger seat does not fold then?

Can't argue with that.

That's my old Citroen Visa!!! In practice the controls were excellent, and actually borrowed by a Le Mans racer of the day!

I'm intrigued by you getting an SE Plus so quickly tho... Did you amend an existing order to get the new trim? And are dealers able to order cars without having a customer order backing it up now??

Ah the old Citroen Visa....now that brings back memories.

Thanks James,

As suspected it's the Yeti Family edition re-badged for the UK market; does it get the free bag in the boot as well, or have SUK dispensed with this :wonder:

Old Citroens have mental interiors, kind of reminds of a Izuzu Piazza thing I had once.

For some reason I've got a SE Plus Yeti, Fabia and Octavia.

They all got delivered yesterday, I presume that every dealer will have a delivery of them from SkodaUK as stock.

No that is in the boot still! Nobody seemed to have harvested that from the car!

Hi FB,

going by the photos James published then I would say not, however they do have lumber support :)

Oh and thanks James for confirming that they have the boot bag as with the European Family edition

If this is rebadged family then partly explains something that was puzzling me yesterday- changes in MY11 such as CR engines, greenline, and now new colours are announced from future start dates, then there is a lead time for order to be built, but here we have a SE plus in the UK within 7 or so days of the model spec being announced.

James- you obviously new this was coming as I presume this had to be ordered in advance. Any reason for the inconsistency in Skoda policy on model changes?:wonder:
