VRS DYNO

Featured Replies

Hi. Picked this up from another Finnish forum where user did dyno for new skoda fabia rs

here are the results

Power 140.6 kW => 191 hp

Torque 285 nm

So what this means is the point that clearly dsg can handle more than 250 nm

What a lovely beast

There was also peak measured at 5000 rpm which was 196 hp

Impressive figures, could be a really good one. Hope they are all like that, skoda being sneaky again lol :)

dynos are prone to very high fluctuations.

this is mine stock on 2 separate dynos, and the second on you can see my remap gains. im pretty certain there are no cars out there making 190hp+ its just a generous dyno.

Or the rolling road is reading high...

DD Rollers are know to be Ego Killers, in other words the figures are a lot lower than people expect. If anything it can be more forgiving on reading Torque.

Or is that just accurate?

Be happy your car is or feels quick. Do you really need a graph to let you know it's quick...

tgey are known for ego killers as guys use them after using generous rollers and all of a sudden lose loads of Hp. accuracy doesnt mean low reading. 2 seperate rollers used there and both standard runs within around 2hp of each other which just so happens to be the standard output of the car. 180ps=177.5hp. i think you cant go wrong there.

Totally agree Sy :thumbup:

my take is if you want to willy waive you false Hp figures you go to a generous set of rollers like AMDs of superchips. If you want accuraacy and consistency then you use dyno dynamics IMO.

that said all rollers are useful when mapping if you get a before and after run, that way you can ignore the peak figures and see the actual gains as the difference between runs.
