Hi all,I am a newbie to the Briskoda, and an Yeti fans from China. It's expected that Shanghai-Volkswagen plant start Yeti cars production in 2013.

Perhaps imported cars will be available in local market this year late.

Thank you all for sharing your experience and joy.

welcome to the forum, it gives you something to read while you wait for your yeti to arrive ;)

keep us informed of anything about the Yeti that you see in China - it could be very interesting!

Thank you for joining in - and welcome!

Welcome to the forum, have a good look around and ask LOTS of questions........there are LOTS of people here with plenty of answers.

Great to know that this is a truly multinational forum.

The Yeti in China is going to be the +60mm version, right? Or would the normal version be on offer.

It would be interesting how they price the Yeti, I notice the Chinese built Tiguan (1.8 TSI) is priced at £18k (RMB190,000)

Yes, it is confirmed that China-made Yeti will be lengthened 60mm at Shanghai auto show last month.

In the local auto forums Yeti fans have mixed views ,Some prefer more rear leg room ,while the others worry that damage off-road ability.

most families have only one car,but family sizes and the needs concepts are different.

maybe the market research concluded that lengthening was the mainstream of the potential demand.

60mm lengthening seems not so serious and acceptable to make Yeti more popular.

Its a good idea, if i had the choice i would of bought the longer one.

But i dont care about rear leg room, i care about boot space.
