Yes when I put foot down it felt like it hesitated then came back in with power. I tried again this afternoon and it didn't happen, could have been the road I guess. I'm now running 99 Ron so that should make a slight difference as well. Does the ECU adapt slightly to the map?

It's very hard to break the speed limits.

well I've been out in the Sharked car, and.................

............unbelievable!

I've read 3rd gear now pulls like 2nd, I think 4th pulls like 2nd.

After I uploaded the performance map to the car, I tentatively drove out of our cul de sac and thru the urban 30/40's, and gave a little prod here and there. Didn't feel much difference, very easy and smooth still.

Then I drove through out through the city boundaries and onto the very quiet country roads, past the national speed limit sign and planted my foot to the floor.

Oh my goooooooooodddddddddd!!!!!!! 3rd / 4th / 5th flashed by, couldn't even try 6th (needle pointed to a funny number), then braked back down to sensible speed. Then 3rd / 4th / 5th......brake, 3rd, 4th ,5th.....brake (you get the idea!!!!).

Power feels immense, as soon as you change up a gear the engine just pulls the next gear like the previous. It feels like a turbocharged sports car not a family hatch. I know previously it felt very linear, and lacked torque, well thats all changed now, there's a little lag on the turbo (and I mean a little), but once it comes in........wooooooohoooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nicky - I've been running Tesco Momentum 99RON for a couple of weeks now, in preparation for the map, and I'm sure it makes a difference.

Ben, can you confirm if the maps are better run on high octane fuel, as I know in standard form Skoda recommends the TSI runs 95RON.

My only concern (and its not a Shark issue!) is the handling now feels slightly under-performing compared to the power output, does that mean more mods??????

Anyway the cars tucked away for the night now, tempted to go for another blast......... :p

PS - Thanks Ben / Cheryl (& all @ Shark) for the help earlier in the day, I know it was a bit of a pain but I really appreciated the help. Just goes to show why more & more people are turning to SHARK.

It should'nt take too long at all to upload to your car, theres a 2 minute video on youtube on how to.

The initial reading of the ecu took a lot longer, for me anyway, in case you plan to start doing it within a good half hour of needing to use the car.

It should'nt take too long at all to upload to your car, theres a 2 minute video on youtube on how to.
