MY 2012 Colours

Featured Replies

Skoda Auto have updated their Yeti brochure (now dated 05/2011) to show the new colours and roof combos. It's at http://new.skoda-auto.com/SiteCollectionDocuments/Catalogue/Yeti/10_Yeti_Catalogue_ENG.pdf

Pages 31-33 show all the new colours, including Lava Blue, Malachite Green, Safari Beige and Terracotta Orange.

Page 26-27 also features a rather good-looking Terracotta Orange Yeti with a Black roof!

The one thing I would have liked is the auto retractable mirrors but I can live with doing it manually!

Not sure I like the Tangerine and Black, be good to see it in the flesh but think I personally prefer my Aqua Blue

That new brochure looks a LOT more professional then the last 'junior school' efforts emoticon-0102-bigsmile.gif

Is tangerine and terracotta the same color?

That's because it's not the SUK brochure but a revised international brochure published by Skoda Auto a.s. :giggle:

The junior school one has yet to appear (still linking to the wintry scene Jan 11)

No I think Skoda UK are calling Tangerine Orange, Bronze; and Lava Blue is being called Petrol Blue.

Corrected: I wrongly quoted tangerine orange when it should have been terracotta orange. So Skoda UK are renaming Terracotta Orange as Bronze, and Lava Blue as Petrol Blue.

Not sure about the different coloured roof idea as I think it spoils the body colour 'up sweep' design feature on the doors. Looks like a unashamed ploy to try and attract MINI owners to the Yeti.

I do however like the black/silver alloys that come with that package. I wonder how much they would be to add to my standard SE spec? :wonder:

I wonder if we will be able to retrofit the auto retracting mirrors to < MY 12 yetis

The Lava Blue looks very cheery. I hope it is that colour in reality as that is very close to the VRS Blue. In contrast the Orange looks toned down, shame. I hope people post pictures asap if they get any of these colours.

Brilliant find!!!!!! I've done some screenprints and cropped them so here they are:

Terracotta Orange with black roof and Matterhorn wheels:

The colours (not showing the top row of colours we know and love):

Lets hope these look as good in the metal as we all know these computer generated images are terrible at showing the colours correctly! Just look at the Steel/Platin grey! It looks NOTHING like my car!

The alloy wheels:

And here are all the colours (slightly smaller):

And what do we have here?!?!!?

Hmmm... Hopefully SUK has the sense to bring this over to the UK as well.

But can they be electrically folded at times other than upon locking the car?

Who knows. SUK certainly won't know. We have based our asumptions on how the Superb's work:

picture1rc.jpg

That is from the Superb brochure with the deliberate mistake in that you press the LOCK button not the unlock button. Button 3 on page 49 is in fact the LOCK button. And this only work at speeds below 15mph making it pretty useless once on the move.

The Yeti may or may not work the same way.

Good news... thank you. If I say we have Devon roads here in N. Wales, you might understand.

Shame they ditched Tangerine Orange. It was very similar to the colour that the original Yeti concept appeared in. Petrol Blue looks very nice though. Anyone got any *real* pictures of Petrol Blue? And what's the pale silvery grey? Is that like a white silver? :)

Here is Ivor in Pacific Blue, sporting his LATEST accessory.......:giggle:

Just came across this on the French forum

I took some photos of the color plates back in may then i ordered my SM:

Hmmm. Does not look green to me... Looks more blue!!! VW used ro have a malachite green for the Golf 3 which I used to love. Especially on a GTI. But this is not as nice. For a green anyway. On the car it might look smart.

The right-hand side looks more green - clearly one of these modish paints that looks entirely different in different lighting situations. My muscovado can look anything from a blazingly bright almost bronze/gold colour to a somewhat murky coffee brown (what I would call cappucino, in fact!).

Yours is the same colour we have ordered and whenever I see one it always looks suprisingly different depending the light conditions. Probably more so then any other car I have seen.

From the French forum:

It is a nice colour. Looks much greener here than on the sample. It does however not look much different from the old green:

Lava blue looks very nice - as do those Matterhorn alloys. Though the latter may be a bit blingy on the car.
