Yeti Elegance spec

Featured Replies

I got to sit in a Superb Elegance this afternoon. It had electrically adjustable seats for both the driver and the passenger. I dimly remember reading somewhere that the Yeti Elegance only gets electrical adjustment for the driver (the Skoda configurator has been down "for essential maintenance" every time I've tried it), and that a cost-option too. Anybody know if this is so? Are they trying to pitch the Superb a little higher than the Yeti or is there some sound technical reason for this? A fold-flat passenger seat perhaps?

On the plus-side I think an Elegance Yeti, with electic driver's seat, gets a storage box under the passenger's (non-electric) seat. True?

The electrically adjusted drivers seat IS a cost option on the Yeti Elegance. Mine does NOT have this feature. However it DOES have the storage box under the passenger seat.

Elsie the Helipad is an Elegance spec. I have the drivers only electric seat which is fantastic and well worth it. My previous Octavia was an L&K model and that also only had an electric drivers seat.

I have the drawer under the front passenger seat.

The Superb is the 'executive' car, whereas the `Yeti is a small family hatchback, smaller shorter than an Octavia.......but based on the same floorpan.

Does the Yeti Elegance have a 12V socket at the front? I need somewhere to plug my TomTom into.

Yes it does, also has one in the boot area too.

Yes, in the central console unit near the handbrake and gearstick.

However, I've mounted my Tom Tom on a Proclip from Brodit, fixed to the A pillar, and had that hard wired into the fusebox (accessed when the driver's door is open from a panel at the end of the dashboard). Saves all those dangly wires and sticking holders to the windscreen etc. I can simply lift the Tom Tom off the clip if I want to take it with me or hide it away. I had mine fitted for me, but I have seen some clever bu**er on here who has hard wired his own satnav in via the cubby box on top of the dashboard ... and has published pictures and instructions of how to do it.

The clever bu66er was the Great Yeti and the link is here

Mine is fitted in the cubbyhole, secured to the bottom, as the box is easy to take out and refit. Aerial is fed inside the dash for neatness, but I unroll the wire and plug it in when needed, then roll it back ito the box and close the lid when finished, easy. and tidy. I put some rubber spacers in the hinge so the lid doesn't open too far, now looks neat when open and serves as a sunshade as well

See, I knew if I mentioned one clever bu**er, that some other clever bu**er (not suffering from the effects of age upon the memory) would say who it was and post a link!
