New car Protection Detail

Featured Replies

After doing a new car protection detail on a Black GTD and White vRS i suggested to my father that I did his newly delivered E-Class Coupe.

Although its not a skoda, the steps can be used as a guide of how to save yourself a packet when bringing home a new car.

There are lots of Pics btw

.......fantastic job mate  and just wondering:

-did you rinse after polishing?

-how long did you leave 1st hand of Colly 476s before removing and how long between the 2nd hand?

-why do you use Z6 Wipedown after 2 coats of Colly 476s ?

Yeah, had the pics just sat there on my desktop for an age. Had to resize them all as 14mp camera makes file sizes pretty big.

Dad was really pleased, he has lots of mf's now and a mitt. :)

I can't remember the last time he washed his own car. He does it weekly now!!

No rinse after polish, just a wipedown with some detailing spray as a rinse could remove some of the polish.

Colly wasnt removed.

Normally would stick one coat straight after first, but cos of buffing it would normally be an hour after first coat. In this detail it was too late for second coat so did it next day.

Z6 adds gloss and wetness to cars, and is great on White ones.

......cheers

Nice detail and thanks for all the pics and detail on the process - the car looks fantastic!!!

I was wondering though - is this allowed on the forum as its not a Skoda being detailed?

Personally just missing the infamous Baker21 details likes this.

Keep up the good work!!! ;)

Perhaps not, but it's the process that can be of interest.

Oh absolutely - i'm all for it mate - the detail of the process used to get the right results.

We need more of it and lots of piccies too.

Just the fact that the legend Baker21 seemed to get into trouble with the powers that be on

some non-Skoda details, and i guess some links to DW etc. But overall - this is one of the reasons

i stuck with Briskoda..... normally open, friendly and for the general good....all encompassing.

Not wanting to detract from your amazing work though; but thought i'd mention it.
