Have not identified much change from the current specs. Spectrum alloys are no more, replaced by the new Nevis, some new paint schemes that were aware of already, Aqua is still available but Rosso is going and for £100 you can change the Dolomite alloys for Spitzburgs on the SE+; why :wonder: Make more sence to offer FOC a comfort option such as 16" Moon alloys ;)

Also noticed they have increased the price again. For example an Elegance TDI 110 4x4 costs you 1k more than it did before the new year :o

Oh the folding mirror saga is back

TP

Dare I ask what is the state of play with these mirrors? I understood that they DIDN'T fold electrically but someone mentioned that it may be an option on the MY12. If this is so, I'm tempted to modify my order as it is a definite "would like".

Also, are we now saying that Aqua Blue Metallic is still available? Hope so as I've an 170 Elegance in Aqua Blue Met on order.

Cheers,

Steve

The new brochure states the elec seat option has folding mirrors (as before when it first became available) for an increased price of £575. No mention of Auqa immanently disappearing but Rosso is subject to availability which normally means whats left in stock.

Cheers. I'll await with interest the mirror debate starting again :D

I fail to understand why there are two type1.8 TSI engines.

:wonder:

Curb weight data seems different from the old version, the new data no longer included in the driver weight?

Thanks for the link.

Interestingly, Bronze, Petrol Blue and Regency Green all look lighter than expected. I wonder what the paint samples in dealers will look like?

No mention of coloured roofs, or Amundsen Plus that I can see. And I think the availability problem for Rosso Brunello is due to the shortage of pigments from Japan after the earthquake.

The new brochure looks better designed than the previous versions, presumably a new house style being adopted.

The CDAB 1.8TSI (152bhp) has been used in Russia, not sure myself why it's been introduced here and only on the SE Plus, unless they are supplyiny the SE Plus from the Russian factory :wonder:

At last the MY12 brochure!!!

I would have been tempted to change the Dolomite Alloys for the Spitzburgs on my SE but only on the plus which I can't really understand. Although after reading so many comments about the ways of Skoda UK over the last few months I'm not too surprised. No other manufacturer has ever came close to the buying experience we had when specifying our MINI Cooper & Cooper S a few years back. You really could personalize your car with an almost limitless number of options.

So, no changes to my order so should hopefully still see the car in August :)

Thanks for the link.

I saw all the new color plates at my dealer last week. Changed my order from Petrol Blue to Bronze after that. Petrol Blue and Regency Green are great looking colors, but very dark. Bronze looked more copper then bronze.

I took an image. It was difficult to get the right colors. But you can at least judge how dark they are, compared to other colors.

The top right plate is Platin Gray. The second plate at the second row is Bronze. The second plate in the third row is Petrol Blue. The plate at the bottom right is Regency Green.

I've not studied the brochure in detail but it is lovely to see how SUK steadfastly ignore people's emails to them. I sent them all my comments re the August 2010 brochure and I see most of these anomalies are still present!!!!!!! So for example the E states "Body coloured door mirrors and handles" - implying ALL Yetis have this and then again on the SE it states as (over and above the S) you get for your money "Body coloured door mirrors and handles"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Honestly these people are the most incompetent lot of cut and pasters I have EVER come across.

And that weird PhotoShopped RED PINK Yeti showing a colour you CANNOT buy has a huge picture AGAIN!!!!!!! And no decent interior shots?!?!!? What a terrible, terrible, terrible excuse for a brochure.......... And this being your first contact with the car. No wonder people have to come to this forum to get any decent information.

Don't disagree, but it hasn't stopped the Yeti from selling by the bucket load!

I agree. This is the third model year brochure that I have looked at and amongst other things, they still do not mention the SD card input on the Bolero, I think that this is an absolutely cracking piece of tech for storing and playing music in your car. Over 100 albums on a finger nail sized Micro SD card plugged into an SD adapter, brilliant! Maybe Skoda UK do not know what it is!!

Just been called back by dealer following the good news re build date and I queried folding mirrors.Just called me back,he has been onto Surgical Support and quote they not available on a Yeti even with electric chair!!!!(Unless you stick your hand out of the window) :wall:

Think you should have showed him this, which is straight off of the UK Car Configurator Exterior mirrors: electrically folding, electrically adjustable, separately heated.

Dom.

Yup, the dealer even rang to confirm that they would be electrically folding after he'd amended my order. But as I was half-way up a tree at the time I didn't answer (cue Father Ted moment) and he had to leave a message so I didn't get chance to quiz him. I'm just going to wait patiently until the car arrives :)

Which is exactly what I did and then in the end the mirrors did nothing... A lot of us got £250 back due to this incident and what we thought we bought was not correct. So I hope you do get them in the end!

Hi Y`all

I have e-mailed my dealer (Claybank Eccles) and asked him to check out the build your own detail.

Thanks for getting back to me and sorry for going on about it but on checking the Skoda UK website and looking at `build your own Yeti` it gives two options for having folding mirrors with or without auto dimming. This seems to tie in with the electric seat but is rather difficult to understand when I try to configure to my spec.

Perhaps you could have a look. It seems to be causing a lot of confusion to those who have a car on order or are specking up an order.

It also was confusing in previous brochures and at the time was definitely not an option.

If it is available I can`t work out if mine will get them as I have ordered the electric chair or if it does exist do we add to the order one of the two options neither of which cost a fortune. Or is it just down to wording and they do fold if you stick your hand out of the window and pull on them. Having lost a drivers side mirror on my Octavia when parked and scraped another in a narrow lane I think they are a very useful option if available.

Well I sent an email to SUK after studying the new brochure. The gist of it was:

Good morning

As a member of www.briskoda.net I noticed this morning that someone did a post about the new 2012 Å koda Yeti brochure..... I was eager to see if any of the changes I emailed to you in August of 2010 had been incorporated. (See your response below in receiving these and my original suggestions at the bottom).

So from the original points in email at the bottom the new brochure shows: (The points are the same order as in this thread. So not pasting the original emails as stated here)

1. Ignored

2. Ignored

3. Corrected

4. Corrected

5. Corrected

6. Ignored

7. Corrected

8. Ignored

9. Ignored

10. Ignored and this PINK car now features again inside the brochure yet you cannot buy a car in this colour?!

11. Ignored

12. Ignored

13. Ignored

14. Ignored

15. Ignored

16. Corrected

17. Ignored

18. Ignored

19. Ignored

20. Ignored

21. Ignored

22. Corrected

23. Ignored

24. Ignored

25. Ignored

26. Corrected

That is less than 25% of errors corrected and over 75% ignored..........

Now some of these are fundamental errors. Are you guys not proud of what you do? Do you not realise this lack of attention to detail is most people's very first encounter with a Å koda?!

Come on guys stop cut and pasting the old brochures' incorrect information and start afresh and do it correctly for once please. It can only help you in the long run.

Thank you.

And their reply just now:

Dear Mr ***

Thank you for your e-mail dated the 3rd June 2011 regarding the changes you had suggested be made to the Skoda Yeti brochure.

I was sorry to learn of the disappointment which were caused through the omission of some of the changes you had previously

suggested.

I can confirm that our Director, Mr Hazelwood, has been made aware of your correspondence and I can also advise that our

Marketing Team are conducting a full review of our published literature and feeding this back to the Factory.

Finally, I would like to emphasise how seriously we take our customers' perception of the Brand and its representation through

all media formats. On this basis, please once again accept my sincere thanks for taking time to provide such insightful feedback.

Kind regards

Now lets wait with bated breath to see the next brochure. My bets are 140% on "no change - just cut and paste and keep the brochure exactly as before".

Logically if they correct about 25% each time they may have got it mostly right before a facelifted version of the Yeti is due in a few years.

Lets rather hope the perfect Yeti brochure hits us a bit sooner than that!

Having read Worldwide ,British and Czech brochures ,I noticed that there is no green color option in British version.

why?

why?

My downloaded copy of the June 2011 UK brochure shows Regency Green (presumably a renamed Malachite Green) in the middle of the bottom row of colours. But both this and the Petrol Blue (or Lava Blue?) seem much lighter than the colour chart posted in earlier posts.

However, I agree that the Skoda UK website doesn't show the new colours yet (presumably because you can't order them yet?)

Yes,your are right,I've got confused. :p

A few days ago I saw UK Skoda website released the new color show page like MY12 brochure's , late when I try the 'built your Yeti' , no green culour option available ,the page had been changed.

Mybe the website was being updated those days.

:giggle:
