Range Rover Evoque

Featured Replies

Saw one of these today, in this colour, towing a boat and thought someone had let a prototype loose on the roads!

Looks very nice in real life and very futuristic compared to anything else out there now..

No comparison ;)

Thats actually in production? :o

Vile !

And Victoria Beckham is involved with the interior styling. VOMIT. Horrid, horrid car based on the oily bits of the latest Gaylander and most models are front wheel drive

It looks better than a Puke (but then what doesn't? ;) ), but it's still another example of a Surburban Useless Vehiole with a coupe glasshouse, which is always a FAIL because it's style over substance (rubbish off-roader due to lack of space inside) and rubbish coupe due to excess ride height.

That's not strictly true is it?

She is apparently being consulted with regards to a limited or special edition model, to appeal to the WAGS and such.

But the fact that she is associated with the project is a good reason for me to steer well clear of it! :D

In other words, they are just using her name to get the thing noticed by the target audience.

Hmmm, Skoda Yeti, anyone?

The car industry has been doing crossover vehicles for decades now. Just because a car doesn't fit an outdated preconception of a certain type doesn't mean it's witchcraft.

The Evoque looks good, the size fits British urban roads, and it's fuel efficient. Even more so in 2WD. A thoroughly modern car. Which is why it'll absolutely fly out of the LR dealerships.

It will sell to the 'Footballers wives' types, but as a practical every day car, well..No rear visibility, cramped inside. Its style over substance, and don't kid yourself about fuel efficiency. When compared to the Sport & V8 Rangey perhaps. Quality still isnt up to the big boys yet either, but it's getting there. I dread to see the Defender replacement that is due

I think I may have had one of these in metallic orange in my garage in GT3??

Wasnt the original concept based on the West Coast Customs orange Stormer?

K:)

Wasn't that Orange WCC based upon the 3 door Range Rover sport concept from a couple of years ago?

Basically making this a shrunken version of a 5+ year old concept car.

Both Models and most trim levels are available in either 2WD or 4WD, the top trim level is 4WD only and if you want an automatic you have to have 4WD.

2WD CO2 129 and Combined MPG of 58

4WD CO2 149 and Combined MPG of 49.6 (for both the 150 and 190 BHP 2.2 diesel models)

To me those emissions and MPG seem pretty good for the type of vehicle.

There's a 5 door version as well with greater rear space and visibility.

The reviews i've been reading seem to suggest that the interior quality is bordering on full size Range Rover so a benchmark I believe.

So basically virtually everything you have written seems to be wrong ;)

Wow... if those MPG figures are true then that is bordering on amazing! As that puts in in the same league as my Octy estate with little tyres, etc!

Remember the tricks used to get mpg figures. Real life will be very different.

The X1 has very good combined figures, yet best I could manage mostly motorway was 41.8mpg!

Yep, my Mazda is supposed to do 52 MPG combined and so far i've only got it up to 41.6.
