Help solving a door locking problem

Featured Replies

Hi all,

On Friday I met up with Skinnyman and scanned his car with VCDS Lite in the hope that something would show up to help the faultfinding for his locking problem. The symptoms are that when he locks with the key, all doors lock as expected. If he locks with the remote, the drivers door does not lock.

I scanned controller 46 and got this:

Now, I cleared all the faults and the only one to reappear was the one regarding the drivers mirror. But the locking still has the same problem. I suggested to Andrew that we do another scan in a week or so to see what else has come up. Andrew has done some disconnecting/reconnecting to do some fault finding so this might have caused the errors logged I suppose?

Can anyone assist with interpreting these error codes please?

Thanks

Martin

Sorry Gizmo, lazy git am I!!

@2SkodaFamily, we'd appreciate if you'd just link to the wiki pages instead of copying the content. ;) The idea of a wiki is that it's being updated constantly and therefor the contant will change sooner or later making the copy you made outdated and even misleading in cases. :)

oops. Sorry!

  • 6 months later...

Did you ever get to the bottom of this problem as I am having the same issues???

Remove the door panel on the drivers door and disconnect the Electric Window Motor/Door Control Module you will find some connectors corroded and pins broken on the motor, you can buy the repair connectors from your local dealer and a new motor

You will need special tools to remove the connectors like these:
