My (near) Yeti twin!

Well FocusZtec came over on the weekend to borrow my roofbox for his Europe holiday trip and since we both had our Škoda roof bars on and both our Yetis are Steel grey we could not miss the opportunity to take same pictures in one of London's lovely industrial areas (CT17 is bound to know where!) Bar the badges and stickers there are only three differences between our cars.

But just look at the attention to detail and the reason why you have to order some parts with your car's chassis number. Lee's roof rails are silver and the bolts for his roof bars are also silver whereas my bolts are black to match my black bars!!! These bolts stay permanently on the car so would look really naff if you have the wrong colour. How neat is that!

By contrast this happless French soul (on the French forum) did not order his bars with his chassis number and now has 10 black bolts permanently fixed to his silver bars! Bless.

Pleasure Lee. And I'm sure you'll own your very own Kamei soon as well!

Well so far no-one has even attempted to spot the three differences!

Imo the Kamei is absolutely perfect for the car. Low and wide and looks great on the Yeti body shape. B)

Other than reg number, sticker, boot badge for engine, metal bits under the side sills and roof bar colour?

Oh and roof ariel.

And no this is NOT Lee's car below! This Steel Grey Yeti (also sporting roof bars) was spotted in Hythe Kent:

Between the two of you you got them yes:

  1. Silver roof bars and black ones
  2. Under sill covers on Lee's car
  3. Different aerials

The rest down to even both having sunroofs and Park Assist are exactly the same!

And no. 4

Johann has the tow bar fitted so the rear silver bit has a panel inserted.

Or is that just a bit too anal?
