There are others, but i need to go through peoples build threads to get them. I have seen timing slips for all the guys in the table though because i deleted everyone who never proved it.

Good thread and good times :)

The times are very very good for the 1.4 TSI

Very impressive

Very quick times for such small engies. The top spot is a mighty fast time. Hard for a lot of 2l's to get that! Infact, just about half a second slower than a Ferrari 360!

Stage 2+ 2.0TFSI engined cars, ie Ed30 Golf, S3, Leon Cupraetc running 330-360hp make around 12.7-13seconds for a 1/4 mile run.so for a 1.4TSI with 120hp less to get within half a second is impressive. That said the 2.0TFSIs finish the runs with terminal speeds of 116-120mph. The 1.4TSi is about 100mphso substantially lower.

I'm aiming for the top 2 spots of that table once this hybrid is sorted. Hurdys my competition though, his car is lighter and has water meth so I think he's the number 1 contender for top spot

What is this -ibiza Cupra -TD1.2s in 1st place?

I thought 1.2 TDi in the beginning but then I said "no way!"

Relates to the wheels he is running, Team Dynamics 1.2s

Yep. TD1.2 alloys are about 3kg lighter per corner iirc so a weight saving of 12kg, but because its unsprung and rotational mass, its the equivalent of removing 36kg of static mass from the car. So essentially like not having and rear seats

14.9 any good with a wet strip?

  • Author

My 14.2 was in the damp on the poor surface at brunters. 1st gear was completely redundant.

I was getting wheel spin up to 3rd gear. I reckon if it was dry i'd of been loq 14's again since i shed a fair bit of weight and didnt have a passanger. Not going back until the 29th of april for the Scottish VAG meet so hopefully it'll be sunny then and can get some decent times.

Spring festival at the Pod will most likely be my first official run on the 1/4 mile. It is running well at the moment on WMI and once the hybrid turbo is fitted the top spot will be mine. Muahahahahaa!

14.476 @ 96.72 MPH - Santa Pod - Same spec as before.

Hurdys time

Mine added in. Terrible launch (usually 2.2-2.3 on normal tarmac), manually changed to 4th to stop wheelspin and then the DSG decided to kickdown back into 3rd!!!banghead.gif Lost around half a second on the run, so there is a 13.3 in there even with the wrong ECU software on and a full interior! Don't even mention the 1st run!!!!!!!!!!!!

IMAG0315.jpg

Mine is now :

14.32 @ 96.52 mph VRS Powered - Fabia vRS - TMC tuning box (setting 7), ITG air intake, Rear seats removed, x1 Passenger, TC OFF - road tyres (205-40-17) - Santa Pod

Confirmation in my project thread
