Hi, took Fabia to garage because the back door would not unlock. They rang me saying that the door could not be opened. They would need to remove the door panel with the door locked, break the lock out and replace with a new lock/motor unit which would cost £110 for the part. I went ahead and the door lock now works fine. However, they cannot give me the final price until next week. I just wondered how much I should be expecting to pay for this - I think they spent a lot of time trying to open the door without damaging anthing. I was expecting around £200 but I am worried it might be a lot more. Thanks.

My indie did it in 2.5 hours, exactly the same job. so expect that +the part plus vat. Fortunately I got my bit cheap on Ebay for £87.
