im looking at the above two cameras, both seem pretty similar. but was looking for some feedback or advice for what one to go for? im leaning to the canon as i currently have a bridge canon and ive got on well with it. but just though id ask

Wow that's a crazy zoom!! I had a look on a couple of sites and they seem to think the two are roughly comparable, although the Canon has the longer lens. The sites I looked up also suggested the Fuji HS10 as being a better camera still (albeit with a slightly shorter zoom0 and is comparably priced at places like Argos (or even cheaper). I love Canon, but would check out the Fuji if the reviews are to be believed.

thanks zoom isnt essential to be honest. good quality pics with some tweaking allowed is what im after.

what websites do you use? i will maybe have a look about. difficult as with everything everyone has pre-determind views on brands :(

My wife has the FZ45 and I have to say it's not bad. It doesn't have the response I'm use to with my old 40D but it makes up for it with awesome zoom and has bloody decent video too, puts my Sony handy cam thing to shame!

I know someone with a Fuji and who finds battery consumption very high and I have several Canons where the battery charge lasts for ages, so an aspect worth taking into consideration?. Nothing worse than needing to use a camera and finding the battery flat
