Self opening windows!

Featured Replies

Briefly.......parked it on the front - unlocked - (OK, slapped wrists  )....and after a couple of hours went out to put it away. All 4 windows were half down - all the same amount. Plus, it was (and still is) raining and I'm currently drying it out!.

Any ideas please? Was it something I've set or touched. Or was it magic?

Was the key fob in your pocket?

+1, sounds like a back pocket special.

Clearly that was it. I did have the keys in my pocket whilst messing about indoors. I do remember seeing it in the handbook now I've scratched my head, but there's so much in there (the book, not my head) I'm afraid it was lost in the mist.

Yes I turned the aircon on full heat and alternately used a fan heater and hairdryer whilst simultaneously baling out small fish and frogs and it's now habitable.

Responses from you all very much appreciated. At least we know we're not haunted.

If you have maxidot and rain sensor, enable rain closure.

Thanks, but no rain sensor.

I know exactly what you mean. My first Octavia (with no remote fob) played this trick when the boot lock stuck in the unlock position. There was snow on the ground and only my footprints and I had no idea who or what was opening the windows!!

Well the same thing just happened to me yesterday. Locked the car and came back one minute later to find all the windows bar the driver's window had opened about 3-4 ins. Is this a sign of the old problem of the siting of the window motor in the drivers door?

As per my reply in the duplicate thread, please only post questions once. No need to cut and paste into every thread on the subject please... :giggle:

If you read this thread above you will also have found your answer. And indeed this subject can be found in very many threads on Briskoda for every model out there. Answer is always the same. :giggle:
