I have an Octavia Scout, which is approximately 5 months old and I would like to know how to check the remaining mileage to the next service. On my old VRs it ws a case of holding in the trip reset and switching the ignition on and off and removing the key (or something along those lines), however, this new Octavia doesn't respond to that procedure.

Can anyone give me a definitive answer to this?

Well im not sure on the Scout but on my 60 plate Octavia it works this way.

Turn the ignition on.

Turn the trip reset button to the right and the clock Hours will flash.

Turn to the right again and the minutes will flash.

Turn to the right again and the miles to service is displayed in the bottom right hand corner.

Turn to the right again and the display is back to normal.

In my FL a simple twist to the left of the trip knob produced the info- nothing needs doing with the key or the clock. Clock reverts to normal after a few seconds.Things must have changed.
