Thank you! I don't think I've seen anyone with the colours this way round yet on the spiders. But it's nice to keep it looking OEM :)

Looks to work well that emoticon-0148-yes.gif

You know on your doors and round your air vents, did you make them silver or they like that as standard? I'm thinking of doing something with mine but gloss black instead

  • Author

Martyn there standard pre facelift you can buy em that way! :-) gloss black would also look good! Think the silver inserts match the wheels nicely :-)

Cheers Steve! :-) more pics to come tomorrow!!

No? I know the cars a little high...I'm happy with them though!

The colours much darker than it looked yesterday :)

well I think they look dam smart.

you must be prowd very very prowd :-)

Fantastic!!!! Fabulus!!! Wonderful!!! Great job!!! I like the colour combination and I don't mind about the height, I like it too. But if you are going to get her lowered then you should apply a rear door (roof) spoiler and the car will be a dream.

Yes I keep looking out the window to check the car still looks good! one weekend of being in the freezing cold with a spray can and a heat gun! :D

Just sprayed some tyre shine on it as well, and looks top notch!!

Thank you!!! I think the colour combo works a treat with the body, the height looks ok at the moment, not much difference to the vRS I had seen in the dealers earlier today.

I have the sport bumper, milotec diffusor and rear spoiler in mind for when it gets dropped! :)

I think it looks less nicey and a little more mean with the wheels

Top work

The sense of acheivement when you see your hard work on your car is immense.

They look sweet on too as you say much meaner than the sweet cutesy wheels all stadnard wheels options for the mk2.

Personally i would have preferred the colours the other way around but that'd have required a load more work and a load more time.

Makes me want to go get a second set of wheels for mine so i can go through the DIY refurb process again!

 Cheers!! yeah, the other way round would of been a longer process!!! and I don't think I've seen spiders done in this way before :)

Your right about feeling good! and you can tell your mates I did it, instead of someone asking oh how did they set you back, I think in total, I used 3 cans of colour, 1 can of primer, and 1 lacquer :)

and I had only found out that my mate bought his primer from poundland!!!!

it was funny that the other 3 wheels I did seemed much easier to do and less daunting!! practice makes perfect...sorta haha!! :p
