Shark STS, OEM Clutch, Conti Tyre, Coil Pack - Mk2 Octy VRS

Featured Replies

Bits and bobs left from my Octavia VRS TFSI MK2.

- All the prices quoted are excluding postage - you're welcome to collect from Bristol (eves and weekends) or Swindon (days). For postage, we will agree a best guess and if I'm under I'll cover it, if I'm (drastically) over I'll refund you the difference.

- All the parts are sold as described - I can't offer any kind of warranty or guarantee other than they're all working now.

- I reserve the right to withdraw any part I've offered just in case it gets damaged on removal or the original part is unavailable to go back on the car etc - full refund obviously given.

- payment to be made by bank transfer, paypal gift or cash on collection.

1) Shark Performance STS device - map now removed from car, so this is available.

The device used to load remaps on and off compatible cars - works for the Golf MK5 platform cars e.g. Seat Leon, Skoda Octavia, Audi S3, Golf etc.

£90 - you'll need to buy a remap from Ben @ usual prices, don't forget 10% freedom discount

2) Continental Sport Contact 2 - 18"

When buying the car there was an odd pair of tyres on the front - one at the limit, plus this one. I replaced them both with a new pair so kept this one as a spare. It's in the loft so I need to check the tread depth but I remember it having a load of life in it. It's the standard tyre size for an 18" VRS wheel - of the top of my head this is a 225 40 18. Update: tread depth is just under 5mm.

£40

3) OEM clutch and flywheel

When my clutch started slipping I was originally going to replace it with a standard clutch as I thought I was just a bit unlucky - this was back when I was only running stage 2. I bought a clutch and flywheel that had only covered 500 miles (from Backdraft Motorsport who were upgrading a factory fresh Audi - the miles were delivery miles plus travel to Backdraft), but then got the chance to buy the SACHS clutch that is fitted to my car now. So, I used the new flywheel along with my SACHS clutch, so the £125 gets you a 500 mile old OEM clutch and a 35k old flywheel should you want it - there was no nasty wear showing on the flywheel I was told, but I wouldn't have a clue what to look for. Both of these items are horribly expensive originally and also note they weigh a ton.

£125

4) Coil pack

Carried as a spare as I always hear of them going - not had one go in 3 years. Cost £34 new, still in box.

£25

Any questions please ask.

Tim.

First dibs on tyre dependent upon tread depth please

Noted - will update original thread with the depth.

I'll have the touch-up paint and VF short-shifter please.

Also - potentially interested in the Bluetooth module. Do you happen to know which one it is - do you have the part number available?

Cheers,

Steve

I'll have the shades mate :)

Both added.

Not sure on the part number Steve - I know it's the 'earlier' one of those available, I don't think the phonebook is available on the RNS screen (I've never wired or coded the module to my RNS).

bargain on the evoms there - GLWS

If Wardy doesn't take the short shifter, and it fits a 2.0 PD 170 box il take it.

Also is the VRS seat handle inserts all Chrome? Will prob take them to.

Aaron

I would like your Columbus but need to sell the Zenec 1st

Not sure whether it would fit the PD - let me know if you find out and I'll put you down for 2nd. Steve I missed that you mentioned the short shifter, now added as 1st.

VRS seat handle inserts are staying with the car I'm afraid because they're super glued in :)

Have a chat with 'CHRIS ELLIS' (forum user name here) and I'm sure he can sort you out with a pair - for the record, they look fantastic.

Ok, let me know.

Yep, spotted the shifter after I'd PM'd you emoticon-0148-yes.gif

No rush for either item, just drop me a PM when the bits are ready to send.

Will also try to find a bit of info out about the BT modules, as Bolero integration would be the clincher for me I think

Cheers,

Steve

pm sent

All PM's replied to.

Just want to mention again that if I can't find a buyer for the exhaust, I'll need to keep hold of the car so won't be selling anything.

You're waiting on Ben I'm afraid, and he's a busy bloke emoticon-0148-yes.gif

I'll try and give him a ring this week.

Top Man- i will probably check pm more than this thread so drop me a message,

Thanks Again :)

Good luck with eveything. For your circumstances it makes the most sense to strip it back and there are some genuine bargains to be had for anyone wanted to mod their car

I'll have 2nd dibs on the tyre please

I might be interested in the OEM clutch/flywheel and coil pack if no one else takes it and you need to get rid of them. But i'm not really anywhere near you so I would just wait and see if its still avaialble but let someone else have the chance of it how really needs it.

£price to follow (probably £100) - awaiting confirmation from Ben that he will unlock it and offer the new recipient a discounted MAP like I was offerend when I bought the unit second hand from Sy.

1st - Fabia_19 depending on map price from Ben.

I'm not sure Shark offer a discounted price for a third hand unit. I can understand why as it's not cost effective for them but Shark and in particular Ben being the top bloke that he is will no doubt offer some incentive for the new buyer. I'm sure he will get back to you ASAP. If Shark dont offer any discounted prices I may be interested in it if Ben can uunlock it for my car B)

Zenec Sold and Posted

Dibs on Columbus/Grill/Bluetooth module

Just to clarify the STS situation - in hindsight I shouldn't have put it on until I checked with Ben as that put him in an awkward position. As he has pointed out, the map discount is an incentive for current owners who buy a subsequent map of him, it's really not in his interest to offer any further discount to 'new' customers on top of the 10% freedom discount.

So the sale price here is £100 for the STS vs the £150 new price - might tempt someone, and remember Ben's maps are generally cheap as the industry goes anyway, and I might add top notch :)

All dibs updated - haven't added any of the 'might have' ones just yet until I hear something concrete.

Spread the word on the exhaust - there's potential movement in the price now I have a queue of people waiting.

Once I remove my stage 3 - which will be the really bad day emoticon-0149-no.gif - the STS is ready and unlocked for it's new owner.

2nd dibs on short shifter, and possibly STS, waiting to hear back from the Shark.....

Tim your car will be sooooo slow with stock map on. I reverted back to stock once to see the difference, I think it lasted about a whole day lol.

Shame to see the car going but we all need to move on. Not sure why but It seems as soon as people get to stage 3 they sell up
