Has anyone had an Amundsen sat nav fitted retrospectively ?

I can not get an answer as to "will my rear parking sensors work"

"will my steering controls work"

Skoda also recommends fitting a Kenwood unit but again can not get an answer regarding parking sensors or steering column controls

Anyone any information on this ?

Aftermarket units usually require an adapter to enable your MFD/Steering wheel Controls, not too sure about park sensors, although I imagine there will be an input for this if it is in the units spec list?

The Amunsden unit will be plug and play to utilise both steering wheel and park control, although will require some coding from VCDS - vagcom.

You can retro fit but as martyn said you will have to have it coded as its plug n play with skoda, contact the tech guys at skoda hq

Both Pioneer and Kenwood both do VAG specific head units that don't require additional modules.

Skoda dealers sell the Kenwood unit but as it only has a front USB connection it's not ideal if you want a concealed ipod setup.

Should work with all canbus system operation including steering wheel buttons and factory parking sensors.

The Pioneer certainly has a nice sound, the ipod interface is great and the Sat Nav is quick and easy.
