Fabia reverse light issue

Hello,

Got my '03 1.2 Fabia today, everything is perfect apart from a reverse light problem.

The reverse light only comes on when I begin to engage the gear with the clutch. So when I put it into reverse with the clutch all the way in, the reverse light doesn't come on, it only comes on when I begin to bring the clutch up. Then when I dip it again it goes off, any ideas?
