I have just bought a Octavia II pre-facelift model and I need some help. When I bought it it had a Stream head unit and I got my hands on a Bolero head unit to replace it. My questions is does anyone how to code a replacement canbus gateway, can I use a secondhand canbus gateway and does anyone live near Somerset who owns a copy VCDS and cable??

Very easy to code a gateway, look on the Vag-com register to see who is near you.

You can use 2nd hand gateways.

It's pretty easy to do. If you are passing Hereford / Worcester PM me and I'll do it for you.

EddieNL on this forum often sells the latest versions new for decent prices and helps numpties (like me) with advice afterwards as well.

Second hand ones (newer than a K suffix) will also work.
