Ive just done was i thought was a simple job removed my instrument cluster & fitted speedo rings put all back & my car will start but not run ive got warning lights all over the place im shi****g myself dont know were to turn or what to do my lights wont even switch on..

Go back and make sure the plugs on the back of the instrument cluster are firmly in place, and the one on the right hand side is clipped back in properly with it's swing latchy thingy.

I know the car won't start with the instrument cluster unplugged for some reason (immobiliser?). Sounds like just a loose plug....

+1 for plugs not seated correctly. Less likely but can happen is static electricity damage to instrument cluster.

The cluster is the second part of the immbo. The ecu and the cluster need to talk to each other. Make sure all the plugs are connected.

Agreed, dodgy connection to the cluster.

i double checked the connections & the right hand one clicked i was then able to switch the lights on.

i can lock & unlock the car no problem but as soon as i put the key in theres a imobaliser warning sign which does not go out the car then starts for about five seconds & die's...

think i will have to get it toad to a dealer ver very worried at the moment

Thankyou for your advice guys i was really worried, bin out again took it apart again put it back together and phew its now running...

just one warning light still on the airbag...

will get that looked at when i can... :)

Glad it's sorted mate. (Well nearly).

There's nothing worse than potching with your car and something going wrong beyond your knowledge of repair.

I can feel myself going white when I f u c k up something.

Yep it's best to disconnect the battery before fiddling with these things
