I hope you had an enjoyable Christmas yesterday with friends and family

I ideally need my second remote programming so I don't have to think I will leave the key in the car and lose it.

Can anyone recommend (or can anyone provide) a service for key coding for my Fabia Elegance. I'm either around Shrewsbury or Ely/Cambridge, so if you live in close proximity to either of those, or somewhere in between.

Would be grateful as have been quoted £75 just for the key coding itself, so I was wondering whether anyone knows if it can be done cheaper or if any of you have the skills and equipment

I'm in Thetford and I have a VCDS cable (there's probably someone even closer if you check the map). You're very welcome to use the cable to programme the key. Do you have the SKC code (4 digit code on a plastic tag)?

If its just the remote you need coding you don't need the SKC, that's only for the immobiliser.

@the OP - In that case then, it seems you just need to follow the last part of that link I posted and you're good to go!

And if you don't have the SKC and need the immobiliser chip programming then you can retrieve it using VAG Tacho.
