A friend of mine has a 2004 Audi A4 with PDC.

When connecting a trailer, the PDC doesn't turn off.

Anyone know if the PDC an be disabled in group 69-Trailer?

Is it a factory/genuine tow bar?

8D or 8E A4?

It's an 8E.

Don't know if it's a factory towbar. He bought the car 2nd hand and the tow bar was already fitted.

He has car car for about a year now and just noticed this problem after towing a trailer.

If its not a factory tow bar then a definite no.

And when it is a factory tow bar, then the PDC can be disabled?

And when it is a factory tow bar, then the PDC can be disabled?

On newer cars yes, this may be a bit old though but being an Audi (they get the new coding first) it's a possibility.
