Pretty much the same setup as last year, except for the "summer" meets ;) Within the usual meets, if anyone fancies a drive/food run (david83 :p) or anything else, suggest it on that months thread and lets see what happens ;) And as already said, all suggestions welcome :D

January - Sunday 29th - Kilmarnock

February - Sunday 26th - Forth Road Bridge/other Edinburgh location

March - Sunday 25th - EuroCentral

April - Sunday 29th - Kilmarnock

May - Sunday 27th - Forth Road Bridge/other Edinburgh location

June - Sunday TBC - Track Day! (tbc etc)

July - Sunday 29th - Inverary Castle

August - Sunday 26th - Borders Blast (location etc to be arranged)

September - Sunday 30th - Eurocentral

October - (will include a memorial for Andrew (leodhasach) as per last year )

November - Sunday 25th - Forth Road Bridge/other Edinburgh location

Lets try and make this year bigger and better than before, numbers seem to be increasing at the last few, lets hope it continues

When n where to? Can do more than 1 thing in a month lol :D

Anything north of the Central belt planned? There is nothing which is less than a 4 hour drive each way for us teuchters. Even Dundee-ish would cut it down to 2.5 hours each way, so a lot more manageable.

yeah surely there are a few folk from inverness area ....

Unfortunately guys, no one from further afield than Edinburgh has ever shown any interest in meets last year. My apologies to anyone feeling left out. All i can do is plan meets for the people that show interest and as further north has never been mentioned before, i could only assume there was a lack of interest.

We would all need to get together and see what we can come up with.

Once again apologies

Surely Kilmarnock isn't that big it takes 3 visits to appreciate it all :giggle:

I'll defo be at Inverary Castle, as I love the drive up there and Inverary itself is a great wee town for a visit and some pics.

The Kilmarnock one is more of a "drive to" of you like. The meets are done in rotation as per last year.

Suppose you can't always keep everyone happy.......... :(

I travelled from Perth to the meets last year, though if we could have turnouts like Gretna it would be better.

I think I need to get myself to my first meet :D

There's a thread for an Aberdeen meet if you're interested.

How about a meet at Tyndrum (Green Welly)? It's a good drive from a number of directions, is north of central and they do nice pies :)

Slightly better and the ice cream sounds tempting, but still at least 3.5 hours from Aberdeen and 2.5 Inverness. I was thinking something more like Aviemore which for Aberdeen, Edinburgh, and Dundee is around the 2.5 to 3 hour mark. The only city that gets that one easy is Inverness at about 45mins.

i would happily meet somewhere like aviemore/carrbridge, good location for photos ect...

im up for the forth road bridge ones and the track day :)

Errmm... how is 2.5 hrs from Inverness different from 2.5 hrs from Edinburgh? :giggle:

The subject of distance crops up every year as we seem to try and organise national meets up here (as opposed to regional).

How about we meet up somewhere nobody lives and make a weekend of it? The north coast is nice ;)

2.5 hours is no different, however Tyndrum is only 1.75 from Edinburgh, and 1.25 from Glasgow. So significantly closer than to those two than it is to us in the North.

My point is that Aviemore or anywhere in the Cairngorms is about as far from all the major cities except Inverness who are admittedly closer, and before you think I'm trying to make it favourable for me, and no one else. I'm Aberdeen not Inverness.

No I wasn't thinking that at all, just making an observation :)

Aye sorry I wasn't accusing you, merely qualifying my location, as it could easily look like I was trying to make everyone travel except me.

There is an attempt to get a meet going further north (only just seen the national list so sorry if stepping on someones toes)

I posted the following suggestion and only Kenny130pd has replied so far, but the Forth Bridge meet is withing his range, so it looks like just me havin a chip supper, pfft, proper Jonny no mates eh.

How about Saturday 28/1/12, weather permitting.

Suggest Stonehaven, Inverbervie, (bervy chipper?) bit nearer the folks from Perth and Dundee if anyone is interested coming up,

I cant make the jan meet - but probably the Feb meet!

The Bervie Chipper would be good spot for me, but not any time soon. March/April is when I'm thinking, but then if anyone else were interested in Aviemore that would have to wait until then or even later to be sure of getting there safely.
