Problems Opening Boot

Featured Replies

I'm finding sometimes after disembarking it's difficult to open the boot as it seems to remain locked, requiring numerous locking/unlocking via the remote to get in. Is there a trick to it?

There is a locking sequence that keeps the boot locked something like...

Car is fully locked using internal locking switch

You only open the drivers door (with two pulls on the door opener)

The boot does not open when you press the door unlock button on the remote

However, the easiest way around it is to use the boot release button on the remote. this saves you having to lock and unlock the car several times.

It has happened to me a couple of times usually with passengers waiting to put luggage in or out of the boot.

Thanks very much for posting that!

If you hold down the boot release button it will pop the boot for you.

I find that if I have passengers they always seem to be locked out until I slowly press the door release button twice. The first time I click it twice it only seems to open the my door. I must be clicking it too fast or something.

Also, if you hold down the door open all the windows come down. Found out this by accident .

That's how it should be, at least on mine it is. One click-driver's door. 2nd click-all doors.

If you have the Maxi-Dot I think this behaviour can be changed from there. I have noticed that if the key is in the ignition the boot is always locked.
