3 weeks ago I changed the front wipers for Bosch Aerotwins

They are now streaking as badly as the year old ones I replaced. Windscreen is clean and I have tried cleaning the "new" blades.

Anyone else had this problem recently?

I've always used Bosch and never had a problem and didn't mind paying a premium. I have emailed Bosch but they haven't responded.

Somewhat disappointed as I could have bought wipers for half the price.

Looks like Bosch wipers aren't what they used to be. No response from customer services after 48hours about their poor aerotwins. I replaced both cars just before Christmas at £35 all together.

Never had as issue with aerotwins, ever. I am running newish ones now - been on about 3 months. No worries at all!

Drove home in the rain and dark and these latest aero twins are rubbish. Still no response from my email to Bosch on the address on their website so I'd had to use a letter and a stamp!

I had a set of bosch wipers that went funny after a few weeks on another car.

Vinegar on the screen and a wipe over of the blades and they were all good again and still are.

I tried that before I replaced them - it made no difference so I bought some new ones. The new ones were fine for a week before the first line appeared - I now have a few annoying lines.

Does anyone know if you can replace the rubber blades with these, or do you have to spend £20 odd for a new pair of blades?

I've never had a problem with Bosch Aerotwins.

Are you sure you don't have a chip in the windscreen?

I wouldn't expect any wiper blade to start out OK and leave a line after just a week.

If you don't have a chip and the wiper arms are moving smoothly/adjusted correctly, then take them back and get a replacement set.

Hope these restore my confidence in Bosch. Windscreen not chipped or marks on it but thanks for the suggestion.

In 2008 they were £10.88 (inc VAT) for the two refills, I wonder how much they are now? At those prices I bet it's cheaper to buy brand new ones, especially if you can buy them at a discounted price from TPS (or was it ECP).
