Well...after 62 miles

Featured Replies

Picked it up this morning :)

Octavia 2.0 CR TDi VRS

Candy White, Full leather, Heated Seats, MDi, Rear parking sensors, full size spare.

(pics to follow tomorrow, to busy driving it, then got dark!)

I have to say I am really impressed by the quiet cabin and smooth power delivery of the CR engine, seems much more refined than my previous PD VRS.

The leather is IMO a well worth it extra, very comfortable, practical for my 2 year old. ( feet were on the back of the passenger seat almost immediately :( ) Glad I opted for the heated function too.

The bolero head unit is a king compared to the last standard system although for sound quality, the bose system in my previous mazda 3 is still by far the best I have had, saying that the touch screen and user features beat it. I went for MDi and put our iPod straight in before even driving away. Is it normal for the iPod to stay on while plugged in and the car is off? (Just on, not playing)

Rear Parking Sensors, although I didnt have them before and coped perfectly fine without them considering the overall length of the Octy, I would say they are worth every penny. With the added display to indicate how close you are, its just that wee bit easier.

Plan on giving it a wee wash and couple of coats of Hi-Temp Paste wax and then some Zano 2 Pro sealant tomorrow. Unless I go for another wee drive of course :)

Loving seeing the heads turn already B)

SNAP!

Well nearly.

Glad you are enjoying the vRS. I have to say I am over the moon with mine. B)

Congratulations with the new purchase, nice little write up as well :)

I'll be considering a new car later this year.

And I suspect following those pictures of a Rallye Green vRS in another thread it will be one of those this time around.

Now stop teasing me, it's not fair and I might cry...

Great write up, Like you I was a PD owner as well, these are so much better. Mines a similar spec to yours and Delcac's, I've done 34000 miles and still pleased with it. Happy motoring.

Congratulations enjoy the new car smell mine still has it nearly 9 months and 4252 miles later. Have an unexpected 900+ mile drive to do tonight so will be watching the odo wit ha tear in my eye gurrrrrrrr

I would love to do a ROAD TRIP right now! :)

Congratulations mate, enjoy it.

Congratulations mate, enjoy it....I am with mine. Had its first proper wash today and needed it being sprint yellow.

Having had a wee drive in it this afternoon I can confirm it's a cracking car.

Defo the best colour for it IMO, and loads of classy touches that were missing on the pre FL Octy.

Is there more car out there for the money?

Nope, that's why the replacement to my vRS will be, another vRS :D

Welcome to the White Lightning Club...good choice

Well done on your white VRS, deffo the best colour! Looks awesome, had mine 6 months now and it still puts a big smile on my face everytime i see it, I done a nice road trip in mine shortly after taking delivery of it, done about 700 miles in two days when it was about 2 months old and it was awesome, love it love love it!!!

It's not the head unit - it's the speakers. Pioneer ones work well:

The MDI takes a few minutes to power off.

Congrats on your chosen car.. Best color and seat combo as well, I have mine since Oct. 2010.. due to order a new one again later this year.. Will most likely be an identical twin with new plates LOLemoticon-0148-yes.gif

Shame you could'nt keep the other twin too :giggle:

I love the brand and IMO the VRS is great value for money. Cant name another car with this spec, NEW for the well spent 18k

lol not the one I did minutes after posting that having been up all day had to do 22 hours straight then another 5 hours darting about before first kip.

I miss the parking sensors ,have a red estate vrs tdi with dsg,the gear box is over eager to shift up but economy in this car is excellent, previously had a tiguan 170 tdi and that was at least 10 mpg worse.

Glad youre enjoying it

You mention sealer OVER wax

Wax should be applied AFTER Sealant

Sounds like you loving it!

I have mine coming at the end of the month, same colour and spec apart from mine has maxi dot instead of MDI. Really can't wait for it to come to the north east! Get some pics of fella so I can be in envy of you for a few more weeks!
