FAULT CODE READER

Featured Replies

I am thinking of buying a U280 Fault code reader to use on a Fabia 1.4 8v due to engine management light on. Was wondering if anyone had used one and if its any good. The last time the light was on the guy at the garage said he had cleaned the EGR valve, when the light came back on a couple of days later I thought I would do the same, only to find that either I am going blind or it doesn't have one!

Cheers

If you pop the bonnet and the outlet manifold is in front of you, at the right hand side of the engine you will see the valve it has a small rubber pipe and a plug coming off it and a pipe going to the inlet manifold at the back of the engine. I bought U281 about 3 years ago its basic but will read codes. If the fault has returned the chances are it will be the solenoid which is part of the valve on your car you would have to buy a new valve Good luck :-)
