VCDS problems

Featured Replies

Hi guys, having trouble in getting vagcom to work, everytime i plug it in and go to the options to test the connection it comes back with a message saying,

Ross-Tech USB interface not found

USB library version 03.01.19

Interface not found.

It was working fine last time i used it, about 10 days ago. Its running version 11.11.1 which is the latest i think.

Any help/advice would be greatly apprecited,

Thanks

I would personally uninstall the program and re-download it from the ross-tech site.

Looks like the updated USB drivers haven't installed properly.

As Jason says, I'd uninstall (properly) anything relating to VCDS on your PC, inc the USB drivers and re-download.

Just done the above, the same message appears :(

11.11.1 IIRC overwrote all of the previous USB drivers.

Assuming it is a genuine lead and the reinstalled software still does not find the interface (you have gone through the 'options. test then save'?) then I would fire off an e-mail to Ross-Tech.

Yeah itl only work with the new software if its a genuine cable.

Yeah its a genuine lead :) ive done the test and save but nothing is working. I'l email them and see what they can do :)

Mine is too id be scared to program my car with Made In China gear lol have you tried running a test in programme options with the cable plugged the laptop only.

Yeah it brings exactly the same message up, its as if the laptop isnt registering that the lead is plugged in. The usb ports all work with other things so its not them at fault.

You can reset changes by clicking the VCDS logo top left and clicking the last option which is cancel or restore I think lol im not at home so cant help being abit vauge lol then try the test
