Felicia 1600 GLXI

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

Can someone please tell me where the diagnostic plug is located on a 2000 reg Felicia 1600 GLXI.

We looked today in both front footwells but couldnt see anything. I did a search on ETKA and found a mounting bracket

for it but no location pics.

Is it the same plug as is on the Octavia ?. I have VAG - Com diagnostic software + lead and want to run a scan if possible.

Many Thanks

Same plug as all cars.

It's located on the underside of the dashboard, to the right of the steering column, by the door pillar. If you put your head where your feet go when driving the car and looked up, you'd see it.

Thanks for the info, will investigate further at the weekend  .

And in case you were wondering, if you need to change the mounting bracket you mention, you need to take out the drivers side air vent and use an uber long screwdriver to get to the screws :wonder: you'll find the socket anyway, ^ what he said ^ bottom edge of dashboard drivers side.

As for fault code scan, there ain't much to scan on even the most fancy Felicia.

That be true,

There should be

Engine 01

Immo 25

Possibly airbags and/or abs if fitted.

I think it has got airbags and abs. Its a great little car, I have driven it a few times, once you get it revving it goes like a train.

The sunroof leaked a couple of years ago so I offered to fix it, (garage wanted £90+).

Took the sunroof out cleaned/dried the seals. Put it all back together plus some B&Q clear outdoor silicone sealant, hasnt leaked since.

Only downside I think, its a bit "roly poly" going round bends could do with a rarb, I did a search for one but no luck.

The 1.6 models have a rear arb factory fitted as standard squire, it's bolted to the top of the axle beam.. The rolly Pollyness could just be tired springs, a decent set of springs from somebody like fk automotive should cure all that.

Ahh right thanks, I will pass that on .

Just looked on ETKA, it does indeed have one..... Part No: 6U6 - 511 - 409 (Stabilizer)

hi there on the anti roll bar thing i think my 1.3l now 1.6 has a rear anti roll bar just never had the captive nuts in chassie leg for engine mount they realy are great little cars small and nippy

Oh yeah I forgot to mention that when you were doing your conversion on yours, the 1300 models have no cap nuts in the drivers side inner wing panel, plus the central electrics loom in the dash is slightly different too. All this I irrelevant to this thread I know, but just for your info there is also a secondary diagnostics connector in the engine bay on a White connector up next to the battery, I've never seen it used and there's no mention of it in the factory manuals, I'm not even sure if it's wired to the k line on the felicia's.

i wondered what that was is there any switched lives there

plug looks like this

now your asking, I honestly can't remember, I'll have to look it up, but my wiring diagrams are not here with me, in fact I'm not entirely sure whe I left them.. I'll let you know.

Hi, just wondering what parts you needed to change your car from 1300 to 1600? i have a 1.3 carburettor engine and need to convert it to a 1.6 AEE engine.

hi there you need

engine

gear box

gearbox lower mount

engine loom

exaust down pipe and cat

power sterring rack + pipes

rad and fan + need to sort wireing for this as well as its on diffrent side off car

oil pressior wire needs moving as on 1.6 its on engine loom 1.3 on car loom

gear stick linkage

clutch cable accalrtor cable

all water hoses

dash clocks

immobilsior box

anti roll bar

sturt brace

sterring colourm from power sterring car and two sher bolts

you will be better getting a donnor car for this say GLXi but A SLXi has Air con and is harder

another thing to say is 1.3 can come out the top and the 1.6 comes out bottom
