Two quick questions

Featured Replies

First off can anyone tell me what size the washer bottle is on the Felicia?

And the second question - when I bought the Feli from another member he said something about the wipers have computer controlled intermittent wipe. I've noticed on intermittent the gap between wipes changes sometimes it's only a couple of seconds sometimes it's almost ten seconds... how do I adjust this (can I adjust it?)

Sorry cant help with capacity, all it says is Fluid Container Part No: 6UO - 955 - 453C (substitute C for B for cars with headlight washers).

If a supplier has one in stock maybe its stamped on the container like the Octi one has.

Ere how come your vrs has morphed into a Felli?

No idea on the washer bottle - I think there are two different types depending on the age as I'm sure I put a larger one in one of my cars I had.. I guess "it takes what it does until you fill it" isn't the answer you're after, but it begs the question why?

As for the wipers, it's definitely a case of RTFM. I didn't for years and complained about my rally car's random intermittent wipe time. My Mum got a Felicia, and actually bothered to read the manual, and told me the error of my ways. And it's genius, really. From the off position, put the stalk into intermittent and then back to off. Then wait the amount of time you want, and put it back onto intermittent, and then it's programmed to be the time between your two wipes. Really clever as you will tend to do that anyway to clear the screen. Wish I'd read it 2 years before I got told about it.

Thanks for the replies guys!

Yes Silver Bullet I have a Feli now - I finally moved into my own place last Spring and had to sell the Octavia to raise some cash. Plus I live 5 minutes walk from my work now so only needed a cheap runaround for the once a week trip to the supermarket! I've noticed Mk1 Octy VRS's are really cheap now so I may get another one in a year or two as a weekend toy and keep the Feli or get a Fabia.

The reason I ask about the washer fluid bottle is I haven't got a big enough container at home to mix up some screenwash so was going to do it in the washer bottle and needed to know roughly how much water and fluid I'll need. I think I'll just tip half the 1 litre bottle of fluid in then fill it up with water.

Thanks for the wiper details, I'll give it a try next time I'm out - that'll teach me to RTFM! Do you know if it remembers the gap length for the next time you drive the car or do you have to set it every time?

You have to set it when you turn it on. It's a fairly simple circuit really, can't understand why other manufacturers don't do something similarly intelligent.

It's a Bosch relay so they come in other cars other than Skoda (VW, Audi, Vauxhall, Porsche, BMW). :)

and MAN trux...especially military one's...

gotta be better than the Rapid's system of four choices, like it or lump it...

Not all of them have the programmable wiper relay, some just have a basic on or off system, but the relay is self contained an you can interchange them.

Washer bottle will probably be 2 litres for non headlight washer models, and 5 litres for models with headlight washers.

I suspect it's only the models starting "G" that have the programmable wiper relay, same as for the Favorit.

Well I can answer my own question now, washer bottle on a model without headlight washers is about 2.5 litres - I managed to mix up the screenwash in a 2 litre coke bottle and that didn't quite fill the tank.

And the LXi does have the adjustable intermittent wipers, good times.

I suspect it's only the models starting "G" that have the programmable wiper relay, same as for the Favorit.

Don't think so - my rally car was based on the poverty model, and it has it.
