Is it possible to fit a centre mfd from another vw in my clocks?

I've got a 2003 octy Vrs with vdo clocks. Just wondering if it's just the case of removing the centre panel with the warning lights and putting a mfd in?

It's possible, but the immobiliser will need defeating. Ben at Shark can do it I think.

I don't mean replacing the whole cluster just plugging in a mfd in the blank panel

I thought the whole circuit board was different.

Hence me asking lol just wondered as the blank panel looks the same size as the mfd display screen
