Hi All,

Have recently been informed about the dreaded FARB plastic collars on my Fabia VRS going. I have read several forum posts and would like clarification on the following, before I get anything sorted!

1) The size of the original FARB is 19mm and has the part number 6Q0411305AB for the updated metal collar version?

2) Can the collars themselves just be replaced? and if so where can I find these collars- do they come with any bushes that are ordered?

3) I am considering giving the garage the parts to do the job are the parts required just the bar itself and the bushes (no retaining bolts etc...)? Also, my garage has said that it is worthwhile changing the wheel balljoints and drop links at the same time. Am I right in thinking that this sounds like a typical garage con?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The collars are part of the bar so you need -

Anti roll bar

Bushes x2

Bolts x4

The subframe has to come down so you should replace the subframe bolts and those off the steering rack by the book.

As for the other parts, drop links may be required, they are quite common. Bottom hub ball joints also may be required but are pretty rare to need them.

Thanks for the info this issue has been driving me mad!... Would TPS/Skoda Dealer be pretty much the only place to get these bolts?

If you need new drop links get the Meyler HD ones

Just got quoted £60 for a new bar and all the trimmings from TPS, anyone know of another place to get a new bar from? perhaps a little cheaper :-)

By the way 6Q0411305AC is the part number for the 20mm VRS FARB not 6Q0411305AB as above!

Can anybody provide the part nos for the necessary fittings/ nuts, bolts, washers mentioned above for the front subframe and steering rack as I will be fitting SuperPro bushes on the front anti roll bar? Cheers.
