hi everyone i have a wheel bearing/hub noise was going to change it myself but come across a funny shape nut in the hub can anyone tell me what size socket to use as i will have to get one off someone thanks

how long should it take to do??

Have the feeling that you've mistaken the locking cap for the hub nut. Tap off the dome cover from the centre, remove the split pin then the locking cap to reveal the actual hub nut underneath.

Do you mean front or rear? The front hub nut is normally just a 30mm six sided socket if it's an original nut on there... The rear hub nut is under a dome as stated above, it has a split pin going through, I think it's a 27mm but don't quote me on that... Darren or jimbo will know for sure.

It's 27 or 24, I can't remember offhand. Either way, if it's a rear, it's a standard size, nothing weird...
