What's this part?

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone know what this rubber / grommet / steel washer is used for? It's one of the items in the bag of bits I inherited with the Mk1 Superb I picked up recently

Looks like a mount for something to me.

Wiper linkage mount maybe? I'm just guessing really...

hi,

It could be one of the three rubbers which are used to fasten the engine cover (one with the Skoda badge on it - not the cam box cover) on top of the engine, not too sure `cos it`s a bit difficult to scale it against anything !

VAG parts nearly always have the part number on them. Search EKTA by part number or even just Google it - you may be lucky.

It could of course be a "foreigner".

Great advice Rotodiesel. Appears to be the air charge cooler support bracket grommet. I'll use the cast number references again in the future.

Just a heads up, got the fully rebuilt 140PD engine back. The original engine was scrap. The build company confirmed they had a number of these engines fail on oil pump but they also added it was certainly no worse than other vag engines and similar to other major makes including vauxhall and ford. Just fitting the ancillaries ready for installation.
