Those of you who stop in on the "Bronze" Yeti thread will know that I now have mine - perhaps the first on the forum and one of the first in the UK...?

Anyway, I just wanted to get a few observations and things out whilst they're fresh in my mind.

1. Order times are a constant question - mine took basically 6 months from order to collection.

2. When I was arranging a day to collect it, I asked the dealer to put 'GB' number plates on it and to make a spare rear one; they don't do the GB plates by default and there's a good chance I'll take it abroad. Also, I have the towbar prep so the spare number plate will be useful for a lighting board, trailer or whatever I choose to tow.

3. Getting our kids' seats into the back was more effort than in any other car I have done it in - the ISOFix points are well hidden and I had to recline the rear seats to get them to go in and allow any decent legroom.

Overall though I am chuffed to bits - I'll be nosing through the manual later (I am a cover-to-cover manual reader I'm afraid) and then I'll be playing with all the buttons. I have already enabled auto un/locking and full unlock on first key press, as well as seeing that I can see the oil temp via the Maxidot and have messed about with lighting.

This is me, this is....

Hi

Glad to hear it has now arrived.

A 6 month wait is quite short compared to many people........emoticon-0136-giggle.gif

A day before I was going to collect my Tonka Toy, I reminded my dealer that I wanted GB plates. I have a spare pair now emoticon-0140-rofl.gif which was useful when towing the caravan.

Great news weasley, get some pics up asap. Really want to see that bronze colour.

Follow the link in the first post!

Well done, you beat me! :( I ordered the same time and still waiting a confirmed build date! But good to see a Bronze at long last! Enjoy!

I did NOT want GB plates - as I hate their asymmetry with that nasty blue blob to one side - and was told by my dealer that is how they come and I have no choice. Oh well. It is really not that difficult to put a £2,50 GB magnet and/or sticker on the car for the once in a blue moon you do go to Europe?! :giggle: Though I have not had new plates made to get rid of said GB banner yet. I do have two yellow ones though - one fixed on my trailer and the other for ad hoc rental or borrowed trailers and things.

On another thread someone moaned about the Isofix points so I went looking and must say they are very cleverly hidden behind that invisible slit in the seat covering! You can see where they are hidden from this post by Wakev:

Yes, very cleverly hidden but a real PITA to latch the seats to!
