Wiper linkages, anyone know a better deal?

Featured Replies

The passenger side wiper linkage keeps popping out of its socket on my Fabia. My local garage tried to order just the linkages but were quoted a stupid price for a complete kit.

I've found these from a company called Wipex at £26.50 for a pair (http://www.puntowipers.com/page46.html), they also sell via ebay (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SKODA-FABIA-WIPER-MOTOR-LINKAGE-PUSH-RODS-00-06-WIPEX-/140696550895?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item20c22afdef).

Has anyone used these Wipex ones before? Or do you know of a better deal?

That's bad news about your dealer wanting to order in a complete linkage kit. When my daughter hd problems with her 6K Ibiza, I just ordered up new links for both sides, cost was £21 about 3 or 4 years ago. Now if VAG just sell a complete kit, I suppose that that saves on labour if you get a dealer's workshop to do the work for you, but if you do the work yourself then its a big cost hike for no good reason!
