Locked out

Featured Replies

Hello,

I managed to lock out my self. I made antirost treatment for my fabia on week end and I had to remove front door during this job. I have assembled remote central locking system by my self, and when I had to remove the door, I had to also snap the wire from my remote control unit. When I was ready (I mean antirost job done) my central locking device did not work yet... So I locked 3 of 4 doors by my self by pressing the lock button and leaving one door open when I was in work place. When I came back to my car, I tried to press open lock button from the cars back seat, but I pressed accidentally lock button again and I stepped out of my car, and slammed cars rear door close. Then I tried to open drivers door... For my surprise it was locked and of course every door was locked. Because I have not used my mechanical locks for many years, they have been jammed totally. I mean totally, I tried to use oil, heat and pliers to get more force to key action, but no way. Now I am out side of my car and I am wondering how to get inside without stone or brick?

Does anybody have good advise? I have also nice pics from my antirost operation, and I´ll put some pics later when I get back to home later tonight. My wife is now coming to get me home =) she had also very bad day today, she crashed her Seat Ibiza on parking zone on airport... =( now left side front wing and door are smashed. Weather is been awful here in Finland.

Here is one idea, but I am not sure is that real / fake and even that could be possible, I don't have so kind of pump tool. I have tried to press that "open lock" button with plastic rod, but not managed yet. Is it possible release boot mechanic by rod or something? After couple of hours I had to give up, cause it´s quite freezing up here in Finland =)

Thanks beforehand - Regards Jamo from Finland

If the boot lock works, try push and hold the middle button on your remote for 3-4 seconds?

hmmm, thank you, but I tried it. Not working, I also tried to get windows down, but no way. Here are some pics from antirost job.

I hope I managed to attach pictures here. There are first 3 layers base coating, then normal base color, then lac (stops capillary effect), then wurth body spray 3 layer, rally red color 2 layer and final lac. I hope it will stay in our winter condition with salt...

I know your in now, but did you try putting key in lock and holding it at unlock position? It will wind the windows down. :)

He's said the locks are jammed and he can't turn a key. Reminds me to go outside witht he 3-in-1 and mine before I end up with similar problems....
