Better front seats. Scout.

Featured Replies

Having talked to a couple of people at the W/Mid meet at the weekend, about how i felt, about the firm seats in the Scout, its time to ask, which seats, from other models, would fit the Roomster. What i find is,i have no lumber support apart from the firm seat. What i would like, is something like what "Bahnstormer vrs" had fitted to his, the"sport spec" seats (under "scout front seats" on this forum), can he remember what the cost was? Any info appreciated. As dicussed Clive, I'm 99% sure front seats from any MKII fabia and possibly MKI's as upto the B pillar they are essentially the same car with a skin job.

Removing the front seats is relatively straightforward x4 M20 (i think) spline bolts, unplug any electrical leads underneath for airbags/heating etc. job done.

The key will be finding a fabia/roomster that has the lumbar support that you need, and also that of a similar colour if that bothers you.

I'll happily un-bolt my passenger seat from the fabia and you can "trial fit" in your Roomy so you know what you're looking for.

I am sure the Sports Seats which are fit in the Fabia VRS will do, since they are offered as option on the Roomster in some EU countries (EG Germany).

However, I do not know if they are more comfortable, because it seems they lack lumbar support adjustment and just offer some more side support. Second, they could be expensive. You would better go to a Skoda dealer and try sitting on them. emoticon-0105-wink.gif

Been in Skoda dealers today, after a service. Tried some seats and although the Sport Spec seats feel more comfortable with the extra padding in the sides and seat, they dont have Lumber support. Spoke to the sales man and explained what i wanted, he said he could sort some real comfortable seats with Lumber support, the only trouble was, i had to buy the car that they were fitted to, because they wont fit the Roomster. :rofl:B)
