Roomster day tomorrow

Featured Replies

I regularly get hire cars at work as they reckon its cheaper than paying me mileage on a long journey.

Have had various recently including a brace of focuses (foci ??) avensis, golf and Kia Cee'd (ugh!). Hire company have just been at the door delivering a Roomster for tomorrow - will I be impressed?

No

Depends on the spec of the Roomster, what you will use it for, how long you will keep it and what you expect from it. Be interesting to hear your thoughts after you give it back.

Well it was just a day hire, cross country and a bit of a trip up and down the M8 - about 160 miles in all.

Car was a TSi base spec. Not sure what bhp (I believe there are at least 2 variants) but I was impressed by the engine.

Spec was pretty poor - no electric mirrors or remote locking and seats were so-so. Over I was most impressed than I expected to be - and it was miles better that the Kia Cee'd I had a couple of weeks ago. I could have lived with it for an about town car but a bit noisy and lacked comfort for a lot of motorway miles.
