Improved 1.4TSI engine from EA211 can yield 140PS power and 250Nm torque, I want to know whether it is suitable for the 4 × 4 Yeti models?:smirk:

Pretty sure this is in 120 and 140 PS (eg Touran) versions, or 150 (eg some Seats), 160 (eg Golf GT, Tiguan) and 180 PS (eg Fabia) with the addition of supercharger too. So could be that the 1.4 150 might replace the 1.8 150 at some point?

Ah, just saw the list of 1.4a at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Volkswagen_Group_petrol_engines#1.4_R4_16v_TSI.2FTFSI_90-133kW - 140PS looks like it was an early engine. Also noticed it was an iron block vs alloy on the 1.2...

But there is a new 1.4 Tsi engine which cuts out two cylinders under light loads and so provides better fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions of about 109. How much difference that will make in real life driving is another matter of course!!
