Sidelights gone in my 10 plate vrs.

Featured Replies

Only picked it up last friday and i opted for the gloss black headlights, but come tonight i've noticed my sidelights aren't coming on at all? My drl's and mainlights come on but no side? Any quick guides/answers would be helpful. Dont want to end up travelling couple hours to the show room just to sort this out really.

Thanks.

There are no sidelights - we get DRL's instead

I imagine it is the same as the Octavia where there are bulbs there just not wired up as Ad Lav says you get DRL's instead and they are a much better job.

Really? cause the bulbs are there.

Edit: I'm sure when I turn my 'sidelights' on they aren't as bright as when i switch my lights 'off'.

But i guess, that if the sidelights did work then, it would look like i've got fog lights on...correct?

On my 2011 model the inner bulbs on the headlights are dummies. The DRLs dip when you switch to sidelights.

Just to add, If you remove cover under the steering wheel theres a switch so you can turn the DRL's off , they will only light up when you turn your lights on. they aren't as bright when in sidelight mode emoticon-0145-shake.gif

Hope that helps
