Collective term for a group of yeti

Featured Replies

As in " a murder of crows" or other terms is there a term for a group of yeti.....all I can find is...

Since it is very rare to see even a solitary Sasquatch I don't think there is a name for plurals. Like most primates though, they probably live in smaller family groups, which we call 'family'.

Also as far as I can see two yeti are going to Castle combe......can we get enough there to make naming a group credible....the most so far at Combe was three, and it would be interesting to have a large flock/family etc.etc of them in one place

How about a storm of Yeti

A spag?

I think we played this game a year or more ago. At the time, nearing the end of a long delivery period, I suggested a 'delay' of Yetis. I guess many would still go along with that.

Or, keeping my 'delay' theme going and with an excruciating pun, a 'knot' of Yetis?

And as for the plural - Yetae sounds nice. At least to my non-native ear :giggle:

I always thought the plural as the same: Yeti.

Or perhaps Yetii? :giggle:

In this day and age, almost certainly Yeti's, ie with the superfluous grocer's apostrophe (or grocers' apostrophe, if you want to blacken the entire profession).

Yeti's what? Yeti's steering wheel? Or tyres or bumper? You can't use the possessive and then not tell us what belongs to the yeti

Err ... you've missed the point! Yeti's nothing - a plural disfigured by the erroneous apostrophe!

Or perhaps Yetii? :giggle:

Yetii for 2 of them?

And Yetiv for 4?

Yetix for 9?

And so on :giggle:
