Urgent reply needed from those with wingmirrorman xenons

Featured Replies

Im in contact with them over the missing grommets for the rear covers.

Has anyone actually had them with their lights or not?

Nope, didn't get any with mine

None with mine, I've just covered them with a bit of Duck tape

Nope none supplied with mine either, but would be interested if there are proper covers available

Never got any with mines, was going to try the dealers for them.

Hmmm it seems they know nothing about these grommets. Im wondering if they were part of the original wiring to the oem ballasts?

Possibly as a kit I bought for my old corsa projetors already had a rubber grommet on the wires, sort of integrated with the wires rele between the bulb and the Ballest connecter so it would seal the hole in the headlight cover but it was a circular one

Mine came as part of the original ballasts because you cant get the plug through the tiny 10mm hole in them. When i replaced a ballast i cut it off and refitted it to my new ballast.

None with mine

That's what the mechanic at work reconed when he fitted mine

Are the ballasts mounted inside the light unit cover? On my Polo, and every other VAG car I've seen the ballasts have been outside of the headlight covers (either mounted elsewhere, or set into a different part of the light). . .

Just had a reply back from them and basically, the grommets were never part of the light units. They say they would come with the original oem ballasts. Ive had a poke round ebay and etka and it seems theyre right. And it doesnt look like you can get the grommets seperately as they dont have a seperate part number from the ballasts and wiring.

So, it looks like a ghetto homemade set for the win!
