great artical thanks!

two interesting points I think (relevant to problems ect on this forum)

1) It DOESN'T learn your drivivng style, just applies different variables to different software maps lol... gives the impression on behaving differently for different drivers though!

2)some DSG units have hesitation when pulling away from standtill (so conversly some (like mine) dont!)

interesting thats thats just a statement, no explanation.

All the wet multiplate do not seem to help wuth fuel consumption.

I have had two of the 6 speed dsgs and they worked well on the 1.9D and OK on the 2 litre PD.

Best by far is the 7 speed matched with the TSI petrol, particualy the 1.8 TSI.

Fuel consuption is improved from 40 to 43 mpg over the manual.

Speed per thousand revs is higher in 7th and 6th than the TSI VRS. Very relaxed driving.

If they could strengthen it to go with the 280 Nn TSI VRS or even 350 Nm Audi 1.8 TSI (awesome engine) it would be an amazing combo. Over 50 mpg and yet 0-60 around 7 seconds.

So it doesn't learn but in effect it does as it alters the map based on your driving style. Which are one of the same thing. Yes it doesn't learn as such but recognises changes in driving style. Which in layman terms is learn!

Love how every thread turns into a mpg 1.8tsi thread when lol comments even though this isn't the main purpose of this thread. Go and troll somewhere else as its past tedious with all the false 'facts' quoted in every thread.

Skoda facts. Oh and Audi facts, and SEAT fact and VW facts all which say the 6 speed increase fuel consumption over the manual.

1,8 TSI is quicker the CR diesel in all these manufacturers figures. Come in to the real world and help people make the right choice in car selection with all the correct facts please for their sake.

I HAVE presented facts many times over....REAL WORLD facts not manufacturer/internet land. Time for you to do the same :dull:
