Hmm.....

However, signed up all the same.

we havent...

unlike SETI a wu takes a few days to do.... i should have one finished by this afternoon :D

Will sign this up on my home PC.....

I've loaded it on my work one. Doesn't quite have the robust feel of UD, but time will tell ...

Signed up just now.

I run SETI on my home computer, and Folding @home on my work laptop. But my preference is SETI.

Haven't done to much folding recently. the software we use is pretty resource hungry. Especially doing structural identification of mass spectral data. So only one WU done at the moment!

I have found that there are better "management apps" out for seti than F@H...

If you run FAH on your work laptop, I would highly recommend using the service-based installer and configuring it to not run when it's on battery power. That way you'll be crunching without killing your battery when you actually want it ;)

Welcome to the fold :D

And the award for the first completed WU goes to..... ME :D

(thats despite ColinD actually starting before me)...

Interesting that completing ONE work unit moved us up 60% in the rankings - obviously an awful lot of people download the client and never actually complete any work

PS perhaps Col hasn't got any quad-Xeons lying around

Naa. was acutally my home PC that finished the unit.. (xp2500, slightly overclocked ;) )

i stopped the quad Xeons coz it was messing up the exchange services :o

Just wait until I get a few more PC's connected up in the garage... ;)

OMG time to finish WU 53 DAYS?!?!

WTF?!? (as I believe they say in 'l337' circles).

Maybe it really is time to upgrade to that AMD 64 after all :rubchin:

Hark is that the sound of water I hear?

Good effort chaps on signing up...don't mind my little crank call there...I'm doing two units which is why he beat me to the first one...it really isn't about the points . That said...

Yep, signed up as well. Running the non-GUI XP client

Will be a slow start probably, as I'm running it alongside the UD client till I get to 1500 results with Grid. Then I'll transfer fully to the Briskoda effort! :D
