Visit www.goapr.com/dealer and type in your postcode to locate your nearest APR distributor and get your remap booked TODAY!

Note: Dyno comparisons may not be available by all APR distributors. If unavailable, participants will be directed to APR UK headquarters for their comparison flash and dyno. Also, APR software will only be installed with written consent of the participant. APR software is subject to a 30-day money-back guarantee. Should a participant choose to decline the offer, the original software cannot be reinstalled by any APR authorized distributor or representative and the OEM software will be reinstalled onto the vehicle.

APR how about you transfer your innovative knowledge to re-calibrating diesel engines maps.

Just not the highly popular CR170 or PD170 engines ;)

Soon my friends. Soon. :)

According to awesome gti's website apr do offer remaps for edc15 diesels such as 1.9 tdi pd130/150 ??

  • 2 weeks later...

We have free, 6-hour trial software available as well, depending on the car, engine and ECU. :)

I'd love to try the free trial, local revo dealers fobbed me off saying they we're 'too busy' to put their free trial on so I drove past the place and not a car in the workshop!! Grrr!! Shame there ain't a nearer APR dealer to me as the nearest is over 90 miles away :(

Hey Clarkyzs, If you're near the Newcastle area we have a brand new APR rep in Shotton Colliery called Automotive Solutions. Please reach out to Richard there at 07957661009 and he should be able to help depending on your Engine/ECU :)

Really? Awesome. I want a trial as I'm worried about mpg on my octy. I've a mk1 octavia vrs. (1.8t AUQ) maybe get a freebie map from some on car sticker advertising if I like having a mapped motor! Lol.

If you buy the map I'll happily include a sticker FOC :p

Haha Well I figured if you don't ask, you don't get! Lol. I'll phone Richard and ask about a trial first though. :)

Car is booked in on tues even for 6 hour free trial :)

I've just got the 6 hour free trial put on by Richard at his workshop. He's a VAG specialist. My map is awesome and I'm hoping Santa will leave me a full map under the tree. Lol

Check www.goapr.co.uk for the map info and check www.richard-Martin.co.uk for the guy who does the remapping. Really nice chap too :)

I've been informed that Richard is having a open day on sunday 17th of feb at his workshop. I think Evan from apr may be there also with a stage 3 tuned scirocco. Well worth a pop down I reckon!

Yep! I'll be there with our K04 Scirocco. Fingers crossed it'll have a stage 3+ kit on it by then!

I had APR years ago, on my MK1 4x4 and MK1 RS, was not happier. I then got tempted to try a different map, lets just say it's custom and it was ok(ish), got it tweaked and tweaked, never sorted. Took the car to Awesome and they put the APR map back on. Drove of very very happy...

The mk1 RS was not out for power; despite FMIC, Manifold, DP, intake, fuel pump etc, I was out for smooth and dependable. I got it, I actually according to the rollers (pre removal and after) got a bit more out of her too, more than advertised shall we say ;). It's still going strong by all accounts, gutted I'd sold it, was my most fun Skoda I'd say, but lots of commuting (80 a day) :$$$: led to :heartbreak:

Great offer good shout Evan.

I have just had a chat with Richard regarding a remap on my 2014 Fabia vRS. Hopefully if his experience is proven I will be using him.

I have just had a chat with Richard regarding a remap on my 2014 Fabia vRS. Hopefully if his experience is proven I will be using him.

His Facebook page shows some exceptional feedback from customers and I'm very confident recommending him for any APR needs. Give me a shout if you need further assistance. [email protected]

Thank you,

Is it 'Shouldn't be' or 'Is Not',?

because you are that people that should know?

so you are saying no difference from doing the 2009-2012 1.4 tsi CAVE engines ECU

and then the Change to the CTHE and its map and ECU.

Have APR done remaps on any 2013-14, 1.4 TSI CTHE ?

  • Author

Well, every car and market is different. Each engine code has several ECU part numbers (and even more software variations within those!) under its umbrella, and there's no way I could speak for every ECU on the market-- hence the "shouldn't be." ;)

A good example: The US market 2009 CBFA 2.0T doesn't have tuning protection with the Tricore 1766 processor, which changed in 2010, and then again in 2011+ with the TC1767. However, the same MY2010+ car in the UK market does not have tuning protection and can be port flashed!

ECU hardware and software numbers are much more helpful to me than engine codes when it comes to referring existing flashes. If you'd like to send me a specific ECU box code I'll verify what I can with the information I have. Feel free to reach me at [email protected]

If you have VCDS, here's a walkthrough showing exactly what I'm after: http://www.goapr.com/support/boxcode.php

Edit: FWIW The document you attached references the same tuning protected MED17 ECUs as mentioned above. Please follow up with the information I've requested so I can give you the definitive answer you're looking for. Also, you initially asked about a MY2012 1.4TSI, but are now asking about 2013-2014?

Thanks for that, very helpful.

I am really only asking about the 1.4 TSI CTHE Twincharger Engine Introduced late 2012 in the UK,

Skoda vRS, Polo GTI, Seat Ibiza Cupra 2013 on, 180 ps & the Audi A1 185 ps

All the same engines and ECU's from Late 2012/2013 on.

I do not have a vehicle with a CTHE engine to do anything with, that why i am asking what you can

do with the ECU that VAG started using.

But there are owners here with the new models with the new engine that will be able to follow up with

the Information from your post above.

I know about the 1.4 TSI CAVE Twincharger engine 180 ps 2009-2012

I have one with a APR Stage 1 installed.

Hey Evan,

Not sure if you remember me but i was the guy with the 2013 fabia that couldn't be remapped and a fuse that blew killing the power steering, here is a pic to jog your memory:

I know there is no remap yet for my car, but you guys moved premises and awesome gti said they spoke to you and that you denied ever working on my car.

Also dan the guy at VWR in Milton Keynes who was arranging to replace my ECU case and fuses has disappeared and i haven't been able to get the work done.

if you could PM or email me i would be grateful thanks.
