Hi all, Ive purchased some of those silicon hoses for the cooling system and will be eventually getting the metallic header tank from forge( or getting one custom made as the price is high). Once i drain the coolant to fit the new hoses/tank, does anyone know what coolant to refill with?

G12 If it is pink G12+ is lilac

Isn't G13 the current spec?

Should actually say on the plastic header tank but I'm sure ours is G12.

Inside the handbook states G12++ and in other place of the same handbook states G13. Of course under bonnet, the expansion tank states G12.

I asked for a bottle of coolant from my dealer and I was provided a G12++ one.

Since 2002 when I bought my first Skoda expantion tank states G12.

Coolant warning light came on yesterday, picked up some Comma Xstream G40 today, Halfords book said so.

Because I just need to top up is it fine to use tap water? Or do I need to get some deionized?

Yep should be fine. I have done and won't be the only one.
