Carbon bonnet

Featured Replies

As the title says, does anyone know where I can get a carbon bonnet to fit the Monte?

And yes I 'Google'd' it but nothing definitive..

Probably need to get one made. May be worth contacting reverie ltd. they seem to be well established

Why? If mainly for looks then could consider vinyl wrap??

You can get them, but expect them to come from the Czech Republic.

When I wanted one for a mk1 Fabia I got it from Blue Engineering there.

You may be able to get a replica of a rally car bonnet (they don't like rally parts going to anyone without a real rally car) or the bonnet from a cup car if they have moved onto the mk2 already.

Hasn't 32K OF DATA got one?

It's got the vents, so it may be a Carbon one.

I'm wanting the same bonnet as 32k but all I can find is fibreglass and even the one is the S2000 kit isn't metal or carbon, maybe I should concentrate on an old rally car?

There are a few places to try, but I'm guessing it's not the type of thing to come up with the S2000 rally cars not that old.

So a spare bonnet for sale on a rally website as a spare part is unlikely.

Possibly a case of getting to know someone and slipping them a fair amount of cash...

Worth watching the rally sites though.

Or just get one made here of course.

My thoughts were:

source a bonnet of the Bay, find anyone who makes the bonnet vents,a vast amount of research and measuring,  a little angle grinder action prep and paint and

hey presto

So is it not Carbon Fibre bonnet for the bare look you want,?

Just a Fiberglass bonnet, do your mods and paint.

As come up on occasion from Motorsport Skoda Fabia Teams.

I want the look but have a pathological hatred of glassfibre (comes from growing up i my fathers garage business), I'm not afraid to chop up a metal bonnet and do the mods (might have to convince the old man to lend me the paint gear though)

My bonnet is not carbon - for some reason the S2000s never wore carbon bonnets. Who knows why, I bet it is FIA rules etc. It is made of a thinner sheet of metal making it 2kilos lighter than my original bonnet.

Fabiano was looking for a bonnet and I think he came across a manufacturer that could do both fiberglass and carbon versions of the bonnet in question. I will try and find the post.

Any luck on that post 32K?

Always liked the S2000 bonnets and really would love a replica!

Cheers sk4gw I asked but never got a reply :( the post though is correct.

Cheers George! I had read that post but wondered if anymore had been uncovered.

I've emailed quite a few people linked to auctions, motor sport contacts etc etc.. but no replies.. can always dream!

Either way.. yours looks spot on 32K!

I had a crafty chat with the MD of my local garage, and he has a S2000 he's selling, did try to get the bonnet, but he said he was keeping it :(

Bump,

but it does not really help in where to get a S2000 bonnet for a Mk2 Fabia FL.
